While recent global green transition initiatives have been hamstrung by geo-political events, miners continue to enjoy a good run. A key supporting factor has been years of underinvestment resulting in supply discipline – which could be a lasting phenomenon. Also, with sector’s reviving M&A and capex ambitions – largely to address legacy (Chinese-Russian) overdependencies, it is worth reviewing long-term greening opportunities where scope for growth is immense, rather than worrying about slowing China-induced earnings/reward risks.
